D3.2 Video reporting of participatory actions: Civic Housing

This video summarizes the pedagogic experience carried out within the seminar "Civic Housing" at the School of Architecture La Salle during the Fall semester 2013_14. Students from La Salle and members of the association Sostre Cívic participated in a process aimed at involving dwellers in the process of designing their future homes. The video describes the learning design process which involved both students and dwellers. READ MORE

D3.3 Report on participatory actions

This document is a report of the implementation of the participatory action carried out in Barcelona, with the participation of the School of Architecture La Salle and the cooperative SostreCívic. The purpose of this activity has been to develop design methods and tools to foster the participation of dwellers in the design process of their future homes. D4.1 Learning Spaces

This report contains the summary of the work done in nine learning spaces carried out during the project. A summary of the development process and work carried out in each learning space is presented, including the implemented learning activities and tasks, examples of student works, evaluation of the results and reflections about the work done. The work compiled in this document helps teachers who have participated in the project to gain an overview of a variety of pedagogic approaches which can help them to critically reflect on their current learning and teaching practices. D4.3 International Workshops (Lisbon)

This report summarizes the work done during the first international OIKONET workshop held in Lisbon in July 2014. The topic of the Lisbon workshop was “Contemporary Living Patterns: Formal – Informal”. The objective was to develop a cross-disciplinary dialogue aimed at identifying meanings and forms of contemporary living patterns in mass housing, by opposing “formal” and “informal” housing exemplified by two neighbourhoods, “Portela de Sacavém” and “Bairro da Liberdade”, respectively. The report encompasses the preparatory activities done prior to the workshop in the OIKODOMOS Workspaces environment, the programme of activities and results produced in the workshop as well as the evaluation of the students’ work by tutors. D5.1 OIKONET Digital platform

This report presents the work done concerning the design and implementation of the OIKONET digital platform. The platform started to be created from scratch at the start of the project. Later, it has been developed in successive stages, adding new components as the project progressed. A usability test has been conducted in the second half of the project to verify the functionality of the platform. The digital platform is a key component of the OIKONET project. It is meant to foster the communication and the collaborative work among project partners and to disseminate the project activities beyond the consortium. READ MORE

This report summarizes the results of all the evaluation activities performed during the project: events (project meetings, conferences); learning activities (learning spaces, workshops) and digital environment (web portal, social web). This is a report of the publications produced by OIKONET partners, published in journals, external conferences and conferences organized within the project. D8.2 Common credits

This report presents the work done during the project to create a common base to evaluate the learning activities carried out in various settings (collaborative learning activities, workshops). The ultimate goal has been to create a list of competences to be used in the design of a curriculum focused on the theme “Global Dwelling”. This table can be instrumental in the design of future courses carried out by OIKONET partners, either in their own curricula or in joint courses with other partners. READ MORE

THINKING DWELLING

The purpose of this learning space is to bring together students and faculty from the OIKONET partner schools in a joint reflection about the forms of living in the contemporary world. Participants are encouraged to reflect on the forms of dwelling in our global societies and to develop a critical understanding which enables them to envision the role of the architect in the shaping of the spaces we inhabit. The learning space is coordinated by LA SALLE. READ MORE
